    Never been to this place but it HAS to be better than Cafe 9 ;)

    From the pics I've found, it looks a lot like Stella Blues, also in new Haven. No picnic for taping.

    It'll be better than Cafe 9 because every venue is better.

    This was a kinda low-key show, but the crowd was mostly engaged and the sound very good for this well-played single set. I liked the local opener Plywood Cowboy too. The venue was a smaller but open room with a slightly elevated platform to the side with some seating, bar in the back and stage in the front corner. Miles better than Cafe 9! Enjoy!:
